South Africa’s lowest score against India
This is the smallest score by an African team in a single innings against the Indian team in Test history. Earlier, the South African team had made the lowest score against India in November 2015. In the year 2015, the South African team was bundled out for 79 runs in front of India. In that match, spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took 5 wickets in the first innings and 7 wickets in the second innings. This is South Africa’s lowest score against India even at home. Earlier, host Africa had made the lowest score against India in December 2006. Then the African team was reduced to 84 runs in Johannesburg. In that match, fast bowler S Sreesanth took 5 wickets in the first innings and 3 wickets in the second innings.

South African team collapsed within two hours
After winning the toss and coming to bat first, the South African team could not stay on the pitch even for two hours. The fast bowlers of the Indian team dominated during the match. During bowling, Indian team’s fast bowler Mohammad Siraj surprised everyone by taking six wickets. Mukesh Kumar took the last wicket. Mukesh ended the first innings by dismissing Kagiso Rabada for five runs.
