Ahmedabad : India ‘A’ recorded a spectacular 134-run win over England Lions on the fourth day of the third and final unofficial Test here on Sunday due to the strong performance of its spinners. England Lions team, while chasing an impossible target of 403 runs, got bundled out for 268 runs in the second innings due to which India ‘A’ won the three-match series 2-0. left arm spinner from mumbai Shams Mulani (five wickets for 60 runs) and Madhya Pradesh off-spinner Saransh Jain (three wickets for 50 runs) together took eight wickets.

England Lions team was reduced to 268 runs

The England Lions team started playing in the morning with 83 runs for two wickets and were reduced to 268 in the second innings. England Lions opener Alex Lees completed his half-century after starting with 41 runs and was looking in good form. But he was out LBW on Mulani’s ball and his innings of 55 runs ended.

Three wickets fell within 20 runs

Then England’s score was 120 runs for four wickets. But the team lost three more wickets within 20 runs due to which its score became 140 runs for seven wickets. Mullani took the wickets of England Lions captain Josh Bohannon (18) and Dan Mosley (05). The England Lions team was not going to go out without being challenged.

Ollie Robinson scored 80 runs

Wicketkeeper batsman Ollie Robinson (80 runs) and James Coles (31 runs) made a partnership of 104 runs for the eighth wicket and easily took the team beyond 200 runs. Mullaney ended this partnership by dismissing Coles on LBW appeal. Jain then sent Robinson to the pavilion and the match ended quickly as England Lions’ innings ended.
