India on Friday announced a 22-member women’s team led by goalkeeper Savita Punia for the five-nation hockey tournament to be held in Spain, in which experienced forward Vandana Kataria has been made the vice-captain. India will face Ireland, Germany, Spain and Belgium in the tournament to be held in Valencia from 15 to 22 December.
This tournament is very important in terms of preparation for the Olympic qualifiers starting from January 13 in Ranchi.
