India reaches number 2 in World Test rankings by defeating England

Visakhapatnam. The Indian team has not only made a comeback in the series by defeating England by 106 runs in the second Test, but has also made a huge leap in the World Test Championship points table.
India has secured the second position in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-25 standings. Only table-toppers Australia is now ahead of India.
In the points table, Team India had only 43.33 percent points before the Visakhapatnam Test, but after winning the second Test, India now has 52.77 points.
India had earlier slipped to fifth place in the WTC standings behind Bangladesh after their 28-run defeat to England in the series opener in Hyderabad. But, with the victory in the second Test, India regained its dominance in the rankings.
Thanks to three wickets each from off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, India defeated England by 106 runs in the second Test match.
England showed an aggressive approach to chase 399 runs, but achieving such a target is always a difficult task. He continued his aggressive approach, but this time he was not successful and the entire team was all out for 292 runs in 69.2 overs.
