But Dhruv loved playing cricket very much and that is why, against his father’s wishes, he chose cricket as his career. For this he even had to rebel against his father. The father did not want his son to play cricket. This is the reason why he did not even give money to Dhruv to buy the kit. At the age of 13, Dhruv came to Noida from Agra.

Jurel prepared for test cricket by batting 140 overs daily in Talegaon

Wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel, who impressed in the Test series against England, prepared himself for Test cricket by facing four hours of spin in net sessions every day, including hundreds of throwdowns and playing against 14 different bowlers. 23-year-old Jurel from Agra worked hard for 18 months to prepare himself for Test cricket and even the great batsman Sunil Gavaskar has praised him for his ‘understanding of the game like Mahendra Singh Dhoni’. Just before the Test match, he came to Rajasthan Royals HPC in Talegaon and batted 140 overs in a day. It took more than four hours to adapt to the spin on various surfaces. This practice session coincided with Jaiswal’s long session.

Jurel made his debut in the third test against England

Dhruv Jurel got a chance to debut in the Indian team in the third test against England in Rajkot. In the very first match, he proved himself and faced 104 balls and scored a total of 46 runs with the help of 2 fours and 3 sixes. Whereas in the Ranchi Test, he faced 149 balls, in which he scored a total of 90 runs with the help of 6 fours and 4 sixes and scored his first half-century in the Test.
