One of these rules is also related to sleeping in the sleeper and AC coach of the train. That is, the Railways has now changed the time of sleeping in trains. Earlier, the passenger was allowed to sleep for a maximum of nine hours by the Railway Board. But now this time has been reduced to 8 hours.

According to the rules, earlier passengers could sleep in AC coaches and sleepers from 9 pm to 6 am. But according to the changed rules of the railway, now you will be able to sleep only from 10 pm to 6 am. For sleeping more than this, you may also have to pay a fine as per the railway manual. This change is applicable only in those trains which have sleeping arrangements. The reason for implementing this change is to provide proper facilities to the passengers.
Time reduced from 9 hours to 8 hours
Actually, the time from 10 pm to 6 am is considered good for sleeping. Earlier, other passengers used to get upset due to eating food between 9 and 6 o’clock. Now the Railways believes that the passengers traveling will get freedom from dinner etc. till 10 pm and they will be able to sleep on their berths and travel comfortably. Another reason for the change in timings is that passengers in lower berths have been complaining for a long time that passengers in middle berths fall asleep early. Due to this, the passenger sitting on the seat below is in trouble.
After considering such complaints and suggestions, Railways has changed the sleeping time. According to the new rule, a middle berth passenger can sleep from 10 pm to 6 am. After this they will have to vacate the berth. If you see any passenger sleeping before or after this time, then you can complain about it to the concerned authorities. Action can be taken against the passenger for violating these rules. Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, this rule was implemented by the Railways in the year 2017.
