His best performance came against Australia on the return of cricket to the Commonwealth Games, taking 4/18 with 16 dot balls, and but despite being at 34/4 the eventual champions chased down India’s 154.

She continued to be a threat to the Australian line-up throughout the year with eight wickets in seven T20 matches and her performances in the Commonwealth Games and the Women’s Asia Cup showed that she took 17 wickets in 11 matches of the tournament at an economy rate of just 5.21. were.

The Indian team is currently playing in the Women’s T20 tri-series in South Africa and Renuka said in a video posted by BCCI TV that she was happy to receive the award.

“The spell against Australia in the Commonwealth Games was my most memorable performance since 2022 as I was the highest wicket-taker there and the best performance was against Australia as playing against them is a big thing in itself.

“Then, the second best innings was against England at Lord’s because it was a dream to play at that iconic venue and also win the series after so many years, so it was the best moment for me. I would like to thank my teammates and coach for this award. I want to thank the family.”

It is because of them that I am getting this success in the last 12 months where I have been supported and helped by the team management, captain, coach, trainer and physio at NCA.”(IANS)
