He said that the series against England and Australia have their own special significance. Majumdar will start her tenure with the women’s cricket team from the T20 series against England.
Majumdar said that it would be great to start the preparations for the World Cup with the series against England and Australia. Both these series will be very tough which will give us a chance to test ourselves. It is important to face difficult teams to progress.
After England, the Indian team will face Australia in the home series. Majumdar said that fitness and fielding will be given highest priority. There will be no compromise with fielding or fitness.
He further said that after these series many camps will be organized and a lot of cricket will be played. Apart from this there is National Cricket Academy. This means playing as many matches as possible. Apart from this, new players will also be given a chance.
