The announcement was made by Star Sports on Tuesday, hinting at Sidhu’s participation as a commentator for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season starting on March 22. Expressing enthusiasm, the official handle of the channel termed Sidhu as the “Sardar of the Commentary Box.”
Sidhu’s return to cricket commentary after being away from the field for several years is a significant moment.
