It is said that Haridas Ji Maharaj of Mathura had ordered one of his disciples to establish another Vrindavan Dham in the country. After listening to Guruji’s order, disciple Purushottam Das ji established it 500 years ago at the mouth of Katli river in Bhadonda village. It is believed that Baba Purushottam Das did penance here under a tree. The nearby cows used to stop under that tree. With whom Baba had a lot of affection. As soon as Baba used to put his Kamandal under the udder of the cow, the cow automatically started giving milk. This is how Baba used to live. People started worshiping him considering it a miracle. Today this Dham is famous all over the country. Devotees from all over the country come here and offer prayers.
Know how Janmashtami will be celebrated
According to Kailash Sultania of the organizing committee, devotees from all over the country will participate in this three-day event. Who will enthusiastically participate in the three day programs along with their families. Today, 6th September was the first day of Panchkosiya Parikrama. Thereafter, a procession will leave Bihariji Temple at Chirawa in the evening and travel till Kalyan Prabhu before returning to the temple. On September 8, a tableau of Chappan Bhog will be decorated in Panchped.
A fair is held here every year on the occasion of Janmashtami. Special religious programs are celebrated for three days. Thousands of devotees participate in these. Devotees come here from every corner of the country. This time also three days religious and cultural programs are being organized by Shri Bihariji Mitra Mandal in Vrindavan Bihariji Temple. Devotees from every corner of the country have reached in the annual program on Krishna Janmotsav.
