Jawan: 30 days of shooting left, to be screened on June 2, Shahrukh reached Chennai

Shah Rukh Khan, who started the year with Pathan, is preparing to appear in front of the audience again after 4 months. He has reached Chennai for the last 30 days of shooting for his next film Jawan, which is being directed by well-known south director Atlee Kumar. Jawan has been shot for a total of 130 days so far. After a few days of shooting in Chennai, the remaining schedule will be shot in Mumbai. They are basically chase sequences. Significantly, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in the role of father and son for the first time in Atlee’s film. Not that he’s never done a double role before. Three decades ago he played a double role in Duplicate under the direction of Mahesh Bhatt and a decade ago in Fan under the direction of Maneesh Sharma. The chase sequence of Jawan will be shot on Shahrukh Khan only. In this sequence, the son will be seen chasing his father.

A few days ago also Shah Rukh Khan had done his shooting for 5 days. He was accompanied by an action jeep and other vehicles. The action design team of Fast and Furious 7 was called for this action scene. He choreographed that action sequence. Although that team was called for two days only. Rest of the major action was done by the team of Anal Arsu and Sunil Rodrigues. Sunil has also designed action for Shah Rukh Khan in Pathan. Anyway, nowadays the trend of working with multiple action directors of the same film has increased. Young people are also no exception to this.

However, in the remaining 30 days of shooting on Jawan, most of the portions are of Shah Rukh Khan. Vijay Sethupathi will be seen as the villain in Jawan. Like Pathan, the heroines also have action scenes in Jawan. Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra also have action scenes. Sources say that the actresses in Jawan have more action sequences than Deepika Padukone in Pathan. In Pathan, Shahrukh Khan was shown in a six pack in a bare body. It is not so in the youth.
