New Delhi, There is a lot of excitement among the audience about actor Shahrukh Khan’s upcoming film Jawan and the tickets are being sold in a big way even before the release of the film. The demand for the film is such that in Kolkata the first show has been kept at 5 am while in Jaipur the film will be screened from 6 am onwards.
Experts associated with the film’s business believe that Jawan can break Pathan’s record in terms of earnings on the first day of release and can earn up to Rs 65 to 70 crores on the first day. An action thriller, ‘Jawaan’ is directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee. The film will be released in theaters on September 7. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani and Sanya Malhotra. Whereas Deepika Padukone will be seen in a special role.
Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, executive director of PVR-INOX Ltd, told PTI, “People are saying that this film can earn Rs 65 to 70 crore on the first day of its release, which is even bigger than Pathan.” Pathan’s first day earning figure was Rs 55 crore. So hopefully it will be bigger than Pathan. According to Sanjeev Kumar Bijli, PVR-INOX cinemas across the country have a total capacity of 1 million for the first day, of which about 25 per cent tickets have been sold.
This number is quite high and it is expected that Jawan may earn more than Pathan on the first day of release. According to BookMyShow, an online ticket selling platform, seven and a half lakh tickets for Jawan have been sold so far. Ahead of the release of Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan and his co-star in the film Vijay Sethupathi shared with the audience their experiences of working in the film.
