Om Prakash Mishra wanted to become an actor from the beginning
Om Prakash Mishra was very fond of acting and music from the beginning. He took his early schooling from his father Mr. Dhananjay Mishra. Om Prakash had a heartfelt desire to go to Mumbai and work in films, but Mumbai was not only far away for him but was like a blind ditch. Started acting with a documentary film of Ranchi
Those days a producer from Ranchi, director Saurabh Kishore was making a documentary film “Gumnam Qurbaniyan”, he was facing some anti-social elements in the rural area, then the people there advised him to talk to Om Prakash , After which Saurabh reached to Om, then seeing Om Prakash’s personality, he gave him a chance to act. Stepped into the Bollywood industry with the film Sultan
During this, Om Prakash met many people like well-known producer director Yash Chopra, BR Chopra, Mahesh Bhatt, Rakesh Roshan, Mukesh Duggal, Devanand, Vimal Roy of Mumbai film industry. Although everyone used to ask him the same question that what have you done before. After a few years of hard work, famous filmmaker KC Bokadia and well-known director TLV Prasad were making a film named “Sultan” with Dharmendra and Mithun Chakraborty in those days. Om Prakash was selected for this movie. This is how he got his first job in Mumbai. In this film, he played the role of CID Inspector with famous comedian Tiku Talsania.
Have worked with Shahrukh in this film
Everyone liked Om Prakash’s acting in the film. After which director TLV Prasad gave him another chance. Om worked with Junior Johny Lever and Raju Srivastava in Mithun Chakraborty’s another film ‘Kaidi’. After the popularity of this film, he played the role of a police inspector in Shahrukh Khan’s film “Yeh Lamhe Judai Ke” opposite Deepak Parasar. Along with Govinda and Tusshar Kapoor Sarad Saxena, he has played four roles of CM, jailer, police inspector and prisoner.
Om Prakash did tremendous acting in Golmaal Returns
Similarly, Om Prakash played the role of Kareena Kapoor and Ajay Devgan’s neighbor in Golmaal Returns. In the film ‘Raj Hi Raj’, Om played the character of a strong lawyer along with Anil Nagrath, Amrit Pal Ali Khan and Rakesh Pandey. In the year 2021, Omprakash got a chance to work with Akshaye Khanna, Satish Kaushik and Rakesh Vedi in Nitin Manmohan Desai’s film ‘Sab Kushal Mangal’. In the upcoming new film “The Pawar of Ayurveda”, Om will be seen as the protagonist and Ali Khan will be seen as the main villain.

Apart from Hindi feature films, he has also worked in three Bhojpuri films till now, all these three films were super hit and Omprakash’s work was highly appreciated. In these films, he worked with Ravi Kishan, Dinesh Lal Nirahua and Sushil Singh in the first film ‘Kashi Amarnath’. Om played the character of Gunjan Singh’s father in the film Kuwari Kanya made under B4U channel, while Kajal appeared in the role of Raghavani’s father in the same channel’s film ‘Hamari Laxmi Bitiya’. The films he has worked in so far include Sultan, Qaidi, Yeh Lamhe Judai Ke, Golmaal Returns, Run Bhola Run, Raj Hi Raj, Runway, Ek Se Mera Kya Hoga, Sab Kushal Mangal, The Pawar of Ayurveda, Kanshi Amarnath. Apart from films, Omprakash also worked in many serials and tele films. Serial Sanjivani with Mohnish Behl, Woh Huye Na Hamare with Apra Mehta, Lady Inspector with Upasana Singh, Kumkum with Juhi Parmar, Ekta Kapoor and Smriti Irani produced serial Thodi Si Jami Thoda Aasma, serial Meri Doli aired on Star Plus Worked in many serials like Tere Aangan, Aakrosh and Kahani Kismat Ki.
