Jharkhand’s young filmmaker Niranjan Kujur’s ad film ‘The Spitting Wall’ has been given the prestigious award of the advertising world, the ABBYS Award. The award for the 54th edition of the Advertising Club was given during the Goa Fest. In the advertising world, it is considered to be the biggest award in South Asia. This ad film by Niranjan Kujur was released on No Tobacco Day. This is a digital ad film which was released in the year 2022 on social media.
Cows Marketing Award in Specialist Category
In a special conversation with Prabhat Khabar, Niranjan Kumar told that The Spitting Wall advertisement has been made in collaboration with Dabur Red Paste. The ad film was awarded for Cows Marketing in the specialist category. The ad film has been shot in Kolkata and Noida. The purpose of the ad film is to create awareness among those who eat paan-gutkha. In this advertisement, common people have been advised to avoid tobacco consumption very beautifully by using an artificial wall. He said that if this film has won the award then its credit goes to teamwork. Very happy.
Two out of five ad films have won awards
Niranjan says that I make feature films, short films and ad films. I look for similarities in these films rather than differences. Every film has a beginning, middle and end and I work keeping this in mind. I am making ad film since 2020. I have made five ad films so far, out of which two have received awards. ‘The Spitting Wall’ has received two awards so far. The film has also received the Mobex Award by Ad Galli. Apart from this, Dabur Ratnaprash has also received the Best Used of Content Marketing Award by Economics Times. So far I have made five-six ad films and two have received awards.
The film made in Kudukh language has got the National Award
Jharkhand’s young filmmaker Niranjan Kujur’s film ‘Edpa Kana’, made in Kudukh language, has been awarded the National Award for Best Audiography in the non-feature film category. Niranjan Kujur, a resident of Lohardaga district of Jharkhand, is a director and screenwriter. So far Niranjan has made films in Kudukh, Hindi, Bengali and Santali languages. Recently Niranjan has made a short film ‘Tere Bendho Na’ in Bengali, which will be screened at the IDSFFK and SiGNS Film Festivals in Kerala. After that it will also be screened at the South Asian Short Film Festival (SASFF) in Kolkata.
