Mumbai K-pop star Aura RD. Sung Burman’s classic ‘Yeh Shaam Mastani’. Earlier, the pop star had performed ‘Jimmy Jimmy’ as a tribute to Bappi Lahiri.
He performed in a flash mob on 23 August at Marine Drive. Aura also enthralled her fans with her rendition of ‘Jimmy Jimmy’.
Talking about the song picturized on Rajesh Khanna in the 1971 classic film ‘Kati Patang’, Aura said, “I want to present something different to my listeners every time and now comes this song which is slow, romantic and meaningful. “
He said, “When I understood the lyrics, the song evoked warm feelings in me and inspired me to share the love in my heart with everyone. Singing it by the sea, close to my lovely fans It was truly a memorable experience.”
Describing the creative process behind the song, Aura said, “I made two versions and both will have the same main hook line as the original song. But, the rest has been reworked in a K-pop style.” ‘
He added, “These two songs will give listeners an insight into how the same tune can be made in two different ways while retaining the soul of a beautiful song. I am sure listeners will continue to enjoy both the versions.
