Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Saturday released the trailer of Satyanarayan’s film ‘Razakar: The Silent Genocide of Hyderabad’.
He described himself as “a great admirer” of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, whose decisive action (Operation Polo) led to the annexation of Hyderabad in September 1948.
Kangana shared several glimpses of the trailer launch in her story on Instagram. He also shared a link to the film’s trailer.
Captioning it, Kangana wrote, “Here is the trailer of the film ‘Razakar’, do watch it, it is very impressive. I have been a big admirer of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ji. I accepted to unveil the trailer for the media here in Mumbai, thanks and congratulations to the entire team for inviting me.”
Kangana chose a classic look in a royal blue saree for the event. She said that her look for the trailer launch was inspired by yesteryear Hindi cinema actress Sadhna.
The ‘Razakars’ were a private army (militia) who supported the autocratic rule of Osman Ali Khan Asaf Jah VI, the last Nizam of Hyderabad and opposed the unification of the state with the rest of India after independence.
The teaser of the film was released on September 17 last year. The election of this day was significant, as it marks the anniversary of Hyderabad’s accession to the Indian Union.
This film is going to be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
