Kapil Sharma’s film Zwigato tax-free in Odisha, Chief Minister announced after watching the film

Comedian-actor Kapil Sharma is currently winning hearts with Nandita Das’s Jwigato. The state government of Odisha has now declared Kapil Sharma’s film Zwigato tax free there. Director Nandita Das shot the film entirely in Bhubaneswar within 25 days in 2021. Directed by Nandita Das and produced by Applause Entertainment, the film was released on 17 March. The state government of Odisha has now waived the entertainment tax on Zwigato. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced this on 22 March. ZWIGATO tax-free in Odisha

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik attended a special screening of Zwigato at Naveen Niwas on the evening of 22 March. Later he gave his assent to exemption from entertainment tax on films. A release from the CMO said that the state government through proactive policies is promoting Odisha as a destination for film shootings. The Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of Nandita Das in promoting Odisha as a destination for shooting commercial films.
