Talking about the same, Kapil said- “I have never met the Twitter bird, but she blew me away.”
Further in the conversation, Kareena Kapoor asked Kapil if he is romantic in his personal life. Answering this question, the comedian gave a brilliant reply which made us laugh as he said- “We’ve got two kids, we’ve only downloaded a few.”
Kapil Sharma on Ginni Chatrath’s role in getting him out of depression
Kapil Sharma is one of the highest paid television personalities in India. But he also saw a difficult time in his life when he overcame his addiction to alcohol. It was Ginny and her mother who stood by her throughout and helped her rise like a phoenix. Ginni, who was Kapil’s friend at that time, came to Mumbai and stayed with him to get him out of his depression.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kapil Sharma recalled that phase and appreciated Ginni’s courage in living with a man before marriage and said- The courage he showed is great. She belongs to a good family, but in our families it is a big deal for a girl to live with a boy before marriage. She told me that I don’t care whether we get married or not, you get well, and then I will go back. He had a big hand in getting me out of depression..it was a bad phase.”
It was on December 12, 2018, when Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath got married in Jalandhar as per Anand Karaj ceremony. In December 2019, Kapil and Ginni were blessed with a baby girl, Anayra Sharma. The couple embraced parenthood for the second time, welcoming their son Trishaan on February 1, 2021.
