KBC 15 gets second crorepati in the form of UP’s Jasneel Kumar

New Delhi. Quiz based reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ Season 15 has got its second Crorepati in the form of Jasneel Kumar from UP. The first millionaire was Jaskaran Singh of Punjab.

Jasneel, 36, hails from Anwak, Uttar Pradesh, a small village in Azamgarh district. He works in a retail garment store. His family consists of mother, father, grandfather, his wife and two children. He also has four younger brothers and two sisters.

In episode 29 of the show, host and megastar Amitabh Bachchan asked Jasneel, “Your current desire is to build a nice house. Do you have any other wish?”

To this he said, “Sir, as I told you, it is not that I do not think about myself. I had dreams and desires too, when I was studying I wanted to have good clothes. I also wanted to travel.”

Big B said, “Both wishes have been fulfilled.” Traveled to Mumbai. Also got good clothes (pointing towards his jacket, which the actor had gifted to Jasneel).”

Let us tell you that Jasneel was feeling cold due to the strong AC of the studio. Amitabh Bachchan ordered his personal jacket and gifted it to him. Jasneel considered it a blessing from Amitabh and said that this jacket is a lucky charm for him.

Jasneel said, “There were financial problems in our house from the beginning. My father’s income was very low. After getting a job, I could manage to some extent. With the money I earned, I tried to help my family, be it farming or the education of my younger brothers and sisters.

Wishing him all the best, the actor said, “May your wishes come true Jasneel.” You have worked hard not only in your life but also in this game. Your innocence shines through in the way you talk and reflects your roots. The people of your field, your work and life experience have been wonderful and innocence matters in life.”

Jasneel said, “As the elder son, I have to fulfill many responsibilities. Even if I try with this income, it may take me my whole life. KBC is a platform which can help me change the fortunes of my family overnight. Whatever prize money I win, I will use it to build my house.

After this Big B asked him a question for Rs 1 crore.

The question was, “The gold left after the yagya performed by whom was used by the Pandavas to replenish their treasury and conduct the Ashwamedha Yagya?”

The given options were – A: Vikarna, B: Marutta, C: Kuber and D: Likhita. Jasneel gave the correct answer, which was ‘Marutta’, and won a huge sum of Rs 1 crore. Tears of happiness started flowing from his eyes. Out of happiness, Jasneel lay down on the floor and touched Amitabh’s feet in respect.

After this, Amitabh asked him the last question for Rs 7 crore: “Lena Gade of Indian origin is the first female race engineer to win which race?”

The options given were- A: Indianapolis 500, B: 24 Hours of Le Mans, C: 12 Hours of Sebring and D: Monaco Grand Prix.

Jasnil guessed the correct answer, which was option B – 24 Hours of Le Mans. However, he was not sure about the answer, and had no lifeline left, so he decided to leave the show, and took home Rs 1 crore.

‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 15’ airs on Sony.
