Ksiti Jog to make a cameo appearance in Baatein Kuch Ankahi Si

Mumbai Veteran TV actress Ksiti Jog, best known for her roles in classic soap operas like ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ and ‘Ghar Ki Laxmi Betiyaan’, will now be seen playing a cameo in the drama show ‘Baatein Kuch Unkahi Si’.

Talking about her character, she says that she loves playing her character and is confident that the show will do well.

Talking about the theme of the show, he said, “It is very interesting. It seems like you want to know what is going to happen next. Based on the promos we saw, it seems to be centered around a family. But it could also be a love story, so the title is quite interesting with a romantic touch.”

Elaborating on her cameo, the actress said, “I have a special role to play. I am playing the role of Vandana’s (Sayali Salunkhe) mother who did not want her children to pursue music like her husband.

“She really believes that there isn’t much money in it, considering that her husband didn’t achieve much popularity.”

She discouraged her children from entering this field, fearing they would waste their time and not earn enough money. She is somewhat materialistic which is why she is not happy with the fact that her daughter is into music while her son is employed.

The actress delves deep into the philosophy of both her character and acting. She says, “I have a special presence in it, but it is not just that. I am an advocate of talent and I believe that today or tomorrow, if you have talent, it will be recognized.”

“Yes, money is important, but talent is equally important. Talent gives you true happiness and peace; money gives you luxury.”

According to him, “Baatein Kuch Unkahi Si” is a mix of drama and romance, and the premise will appeal to the young audience, which is different from the shows they have done so far.

She said, “I don’t see it as a typical family drama. After watching the first two episodes, it doesn’t feel like I’ve seen a show like this before. This is quite interesting. I feel the family drama is less here as it shows the challenges and conflicts present in the romance story somewhere.”

He also said that the series has youth appeal. “Another excellent aspect is that the show focuses on people in the age group of 30-35, which is rarely represented,” he added.

Kshiti Jog was seen in Bollywood film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ as Rocky’s (Ranveer Singh) mother Poonam Randhawa and before that was seen in Marathi film ‘Pawankhind’.(IANS)
