Lahore 1947: After Preity Zinta, Ali Fazal enters Sunny Deol starrer film

Global star Ali Fazal, known for his work in Mirzapur’s Fukrey franchise and several Hollywood projects, has joined the cast of the upcoming film Lahore 1947. The film, directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, stars Sunny Deol, who is enjoying the success of Gadar 2. The film will also star Abhimanyu Singh and Preity Zinta in lead roles. Ali Fazal is one of the most promising talents of Indian cinema who has also worked in international productions.The actor has become a favorite of memes due to his performance as Guddu Bhaiya in the web show Mirzapur Season 1 and 2. Recently, he surprised everyone with his special appearance as Zafar Bhai in Fukrey 3.
Recently many reports were coming in which claimed that Abhimanyu Singh will be seen as a villain in Lahore 1947. At the time, Rajkumar Santoshi had said, “Usually, whenever we think of a villain character, the first names that come to our mind are a few. Amrish ji and Danny ji, but we have to look ahead and see who is taking charge from the front.”
He further added, “Interestingly, we have roped in Abhimanyu Singh who will be seen playing a strong and lead role as the villain in Lahore 1947. His intensity, voice and conviction are truly unbeatable. He is undoubtedly one of the most talented actors in our industry today.”
Talking about Lahore 1947, Aamir Khan will take over as producer under Aamir Khan Productions, while Santoshi will direct the project. Earlier this month, a report in Mid-Day claimed that the shooting of the film had begun. Rajkumar Santoshi has a certain palette and approach to visuals. This shoot will be different from the shoots prepared by Aamir Khan Productions. Aamir is confident that the director will follow his vision and his role will be reduced to that of a producer only. Mid-Day quoted a source as saying, “The first day of shooting is February 12. This week, the team will work on logistics.
For those unaware, Lahore 1947 marks Aamir and Rajkumar Santoshi working together for the first time since Andaz Apna Apna (1994).
