LIC : Know about the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana

The Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY) pension was launched by the government in 2017 with an aim to provide post-retirement benefits to senior citizens. A guaranteed pension is available to senior citizens aged 60 years and above under the LIC-managed programme. However, the deadline to invest in this program is March 31, 2023.
LIC PMVVY (Plan No. 856) can no longer be purchased after March 31, 2023. Unless the government extends the deadline in the upcoming budget 2023.
Those who want to get the benefits of PMVVY scheme should know the important detail — In this scheme the age of the person should be at least 60 years. The term of the policy is ten years. You can do this monthly, quarterly, biweekly or annually.
The policy can be priced from Rs 1,56,658 for Rs 12,000 annual pension to Rs 14,49,086 for Rs 1,11,000 annual pension.
The differential return in this scheme is borne by the Government of India. The differential return, which is paid as subsidy on an annual basis, is the difference between the return earned by LIC and the promised return.
