Like other Arab countries and Turkey, baklava (flaky pudding) is also popular in Egypt. But the taste of this country’s own sweet which cannot be forgotten is Baspusa. It is a cake made of semolina, which is cut into small pieces like barfi, garnished with almonds and eaten cold or hot. The aroma of lemon or orange enhances the pleasure of light sweetness. You can easily enjoy these Egyptian flavors sitting at home.
