Mumbai: It is quite easy to make Rava Idli at home. It is delicious to eat and also nutritious. It is very much liked in South India. So let us know how to make Rava Idli:
Material:
‘Rava-2 Cup’
Curd – 2 cups
Salt – as per taste
Green peas – 1/4 cup
Green chilli – 2 finely chopped
Ginger – grated
‘Urad dal – 1 teaspoon
Mustard – 1 teaspoon
Green coriander – finely chopped
Oil – 2-3 spoons
‘Eno- one teaspoon
Method:
1. Beat the curd well. Now take out the rava in a vessel and mix curd. Mix well.
2. Now add salt, ginger, green chilli, green coriander and mix. Put 1 teaspoon oil in a small pan and heat it.
3. Add mustard seeds in oil, add urad dal and as soon as the dal turns light brown, add it to the idli mixture. Keep the mixture for 10-15 minutes.
4. Put 2 small glasses of water in the cooker and put it on the gas. Grease the idli stand shells with oil.
5. After 15 minutes, add Eno to the mixture and keep stirring, as soon as it starts boiling, stop stirring. Fill the mixture in each dish with the help of a spoon and keep it in the cooker.
6. Remove the whistle from the lid and close the cooker. Let the idli cook for 10-12 minutes. Your idli is ready.
7. Serve it with peanut chutney and green coriander chutney.
