Lucknow, April 10 (Hindustan). Lucknow of the 70s was shown in the film ‘Banwari Ki Amma’. The film premiered on Sunday at Novelty Cinema Hall in Lucknow. Chief Minister’s Advisor Avneesh Awasthi and his wife and renowned folk singer Malini Awasthi were the chief guests for the premiere show.
The film’s director, screenwriter O.P. Srivastava told Hindustan News that the film is based on the backdrop of the 70s. In this, the things, family and social practices of the same time were shown. People after the age of 50 will be reminded of the olden days after watching the film.
The director told that the film was shot in Triveni Nagar of the city. Most of the artists in this are from this city. The story of the film revolves around an old woman, who goes to other’s houses to grind pulses which are used to make kachoris.
The film’s director OP Srivastava told that it was made in Awadhi, Hindi and English languages. Its cinematography was done by G.S. Bhaskar has done. It’s music is by Hem Chandra and the lyrics are sung by Sangeeta Mishra.
