Mumbai Thursday is the birthday of actor-director R Madhavan, who recently won the IIFA Best Director Award for his directorial debut ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’. The actor is currently shooting in Chennai for his next project ‘Test’ with Nayanthara and Siddharth. Madhavan and Siddharth, who have worked together in films like ‘Ayutha Ezhuthu’ and ‘Rang De Basanti’, are reuniting for this film. The film is reportedly based on a Test cricket match.
Talking about Birthday Working Day, Madhavan said: Birthday is special, no doubt about it, but for me, my work is equally important. I feel lucky to be doing what I love, and that in itself is the best birthday gift ever.
Earlier, he played the role of a cricketer in the 2003 Tamil film ‘Priyamana Tozhi’. Now Madhavan has opted to work in a film based on cricket after 20 years.
