Sony Liv recently gave a glimpse of the upcoming season of its most awaited political drama, ‘Maharani’. Fans can expect the return of Huma Qureshi as Rani Bharti, who promises to portray her character in an even more powerful and assertive manner.
Sony Liv has not yet revealed the release date of Maharani Season 3, but if media reports are to be believed, it may stream by March or April. However, official information has not been revealed yet.

‘Maharani’ is a Hindi-language drama streaming television series released in 2021, produced by Subhash Kapoor.
The show stars Huma Qureshi in the lead role and also stars Sohum Shah, Amit Sial, Kani Kusruti and Inamulhaq.
The political drama takes inspiration from various events in Bihar during the 1990s, particularly the time when Lalu Prasad Yadav named his housewife wife Rabri Devi as his successor.
Season 1, spanning from 1995 to 1999, takes cues from real-life events and characters such as the Ranveer Sena, leftist militants, Naxalite groups, Communist Party of India (Marxist–Leninist) Liberation, the 1997 Laxmanpur Bathe massacre.
In Season 2, the story takes place in mid-1999 and takes inspiration from real events and personalities. The story is based on incidents like Shilpi-Gautam murder, Sadhu Yadav, Rajiv Goswami, Shibu Soren, Mohammad Shahabuddin, Prashant Kishore, Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC) and 2000 Bihar Legislative Assembly elections.
Huma Qureshi had said during a recent interview that the character of Rani Bharti has settled in her DNA. This proves to be true after watching this season.
