Manisha, Adrija’s performance reminded me of Aishwarya and Madhuri: Arshad Warsi

Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News): ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ judge and actor Arshad Warsi praised the performance of Manisha Rani and Adrija Sinha on the song ‘Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Aaja’ and said that he made them look like Aishwarya Rai on the song ‘Dola Re Dola’. And reminded me of Madhuri Dixit’s dance.

In the ‘Maha Sangam Mein Maha Sangram’ episode of the celebrity dance reality show, the contestants were challenged to perform in pairs.

The twist is that these celebrity pairs performed without their choreographers and each contestant was given different marks for acting based on individual merit.

Judge Farah Khan brought together the dynamic duo, Manisha and Adrija and they performed a fusion act on the song ‘Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Aaja’. This song is from the 1982 Mithun Chakraborty film ‘Disco Dancer’.

Both Manisha and Adrija have surprised everyone with their never-seen-before avatars and extraordinary fusion dancing skills.

Talking about the dancing skills, Arshad said, “Very well choreographed. The mood of the song and your movements were excellent. You all know that I have a lot of affection for this little girl Adrija, because from the beginning she has done so well that I find myself in love every time.”

He further said, “Manisha, you dance very well. I mean, if someone told me that you are not a dancer, I would not believe it. You danced like a professional dancer.”

He further said, “You both reminded me of Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit from ‘Dola Re Dola’, both were brilliant dancers, but still there was a difference. Both of you were good in this act also and had your own style.”

The song ‘Dola Re Dola’, sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shreya Ghoshal and KK, is from the 2002 period romantic drama ‘Devdas’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai.

Impressed by the acting, Farah said, “We know Adrija is the pride of our show and everyone is afraid of her, but when Shadow was playing I swear I couldn’t figure out who Adrija was and Who is Manisha? Manisha, you did very well.”
