Manjari Phadnis shares memorable moments of ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ shoot

New Delhi: Actress Manjari Phadnis, who is best known for her role in the upcoming romantic comedy Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na, talks about moments that bring her down the memory lane even after 15 years of its release. Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza are in lead roles in the 2008 film Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, directed by Abbas Tyrewala. It also stars Prateik Babbar, Manjari, Ratna Pathak, Naseeruddin Shah, Sohail Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Paresh Rawal in pivotal roles.
Manjari played the character of Meghna, Jai’s (Emraan) girlfriend. Recently, the film completed 15 years of its release and the 39-year-old actress reminisced about the shooting. When Manjari was asked what she still misses about the film, she told IANS, Walking the empty streets of South Bombay. I think that was the only time I had seen it so calm and so strange, it was so wonderful. I think it makes me nostalgic.’
She said, ‘Sometimes when I am crossing South Bombay, I feel nostalgic, and I just want to walk the streets in the middle of the night. Because one of my scenes in the film was going to be on the road, in which she talks to Imran. That was really memorable for me.
He further added, ‘The entire shoot in Igatpuri, where we shot the song ‘Nazaren Milana’, was something special. And of course the entire workshop in Panchgani was another wonderful bonding time for us.’Currently, Manjari is seen in the intriguing thriller series ‘The Freelancer’ produced and written by Neeraj Pandey. She is playing the role of Mrinal Kamath. The show also stars Mohit Raina, Anupam Kher, Kashmira Pardeshi and Navneet Malik. It is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar.
