Married Vikram Bhatt had extramarital affairs with Sushmita Sen and Ameesha Patel, wife had divorced him, reveals filmmaker

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has seen a lot of turmoil in his personal life. He recently opened up and discussed his past relationships in an interview, where he opened up about his difficult relationship with his ex-wife Aditi Bhatt.

He also talked about his romantic affairs with Bollywood actresses Sushmita Sen and Ameesha Patel in the early 2000s. She said she had no regrets and revealed that her 2006 film Ankahi, starring Urmila Matondkar, was a “semi-fictionalized” version of her relationship with Sen while he was married.

Then why would anyone bother? I blame myself.

He further said that he did not know whether Sushmita was upset about this or not and added, “I don’t know, I never asked her. Look, I have a right to my life, but not to anyone else’s life.” So when I write on the (Twitter) thread, I write only what is my truth, what has happened to me.”

On his divorce with wife Aditi, Vikram Bhatt said that the 1920 director revealed that it was his romantic relationship with Sushmita that ended his marriage with his childhood sweetheart Aditi. When Bhatt was asked if he had any regrets, he said, “I don’t regret anything in my life, not one thing, not one mistake.”

He further added, “I have made mistakes, a lot of mistakes, but I have learned from them, perhaps there is still a lot to learn, but this is my only journey.”

The filmmaker also revealed that he had called both Sushmita and Ameesha to apologise. They said “I had made these phone calls long ago. That’s why I had gone to Bhatt sahab (Mahesh Bhatt), who was a part of the phone calls. But Sushmita, Ameesha… see, these are the relationships about which Press talked about but these are not the only relationships. I have other relationships too, there were others who came into my life and today there is nothing incomplete in my mind. I feel complete. This is what I am saying , if you see this as your only journey then you don’t need to put off.
