The domestic automaker sold a total of 137,551 units in December 2023, which was about 1.28 percent less than the 139,347 units sold during December 2022. In this month, out of total sales, the company sold 106,492 units in the domestic market, while exported 4,175 units abroad.
Maruti sets a record of sales of 20 lakh units in 2023
Maruti Suzuki India had set a new record by crossing the annual sales figure of 20 lakh units for the first time in the calendar year 2023. In this it had exported about 2,69,046 units abroad. Maruti Suzuki India’s production also declined by about 3 percent to 121,028 units in December 2023 from 124,722 units on an annual basis. Last week, Maruti Suzuki announced an investment of about Rs 32,000 crore to set up an automobile plant in Gujarat, which will produce 10 lakh vehicles annually.
