Mens Club World Volleyball Championship will be held in India in December

Bengaluru. Ahmedabad Defenders of the Prime Volleyball League will be on the field for the first time when India participates and hosts the Club World Championship 2023 at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium here.

With 10 action-packed matches scheduled between 6th to 10th December, volleyball fans in India are in for a rare treat.

Six teams from around the world will compete for supremacy, including the defending champions, Sir Safety Susa Perugia from Italy, Sada Cruzeiro Volei and Minas Tennis Club from Brazil, Suntory Sunbirds Club from Japan, Halkbankspor Kulubu from Turkey and Ahmedabad Defenders from India. ,

Ahmedabad Defenders will be the first Indian team to participate in the prestigious international volleyball tournament, showcasing the country’s growing strength on the global volleyball stage. The Defenders secured their place in the marquee tournament after their victory in the second season of the Prime Volleyball League.

The Club World Championship comes in the wake of exceptional Indian performance at the recently concluded Asian Games, where the Indian volleyball team, then ranked 73rd globally, defeated Cambodia, and then Korea Republic, ranked 28th and 43rd respectively. And defeated Chinese Taipei. Finished sixth in the competition.
