The news is that Saudi Arabia has shown interest in buying a stake worth billions of dollars in this Indian cricket tournament. Talks have taken place between the Government of India and advisors to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The advisors have explained their investment plans to government officials. According to this, IPL can be transferred to a company whose valuation can be 30 billion dollars.
Saudi Arabia is considering taking a major stake in this company. In fact, in the month of September, when Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman came to India to attend the G20 summit, the Saudi officials who had come to India had informal talks with their Indian counterparts on this matter. The IPL already involves two Saudi businesses – Saudi Arabia Tourism and Aramco. Let us tell you that this Indian cricket league IPL is the biggest cricket league in the world and hence it is expanding day by day. Saudi Arabia wants IPL to expand to other countries on the lines of football leagues. Saudi Arabia wants to do this deal soon.
