Meta announces new service for WhatsApp
[ad_1]
WhatsApp rolled out the Community feature last year to help people get the most out of their groups. The Meta-owned messaging app has now announced some new services for Apple iPhone and Android device users. According to the company, the new service makes the group more manageable for administrators and easier for everyone to navigate. Here are the new features announced by WhatsApp:
New controls for administrators
WhatsApp has launched a simple tool that gives administrators the ability to decide who can join a group. When an admin chooses to share their group’s invite link, or makes their group eligible to be included in a community, they now have more control over who can join the group. Join groups are where people have some of their most intimate conversations and it’s important that administrators be able to easily decide who can and cannot come.
View groups in general easily
Whether you’re trying to remember the name of a group you know you share with someone or you just want to see groups you’re both in, you can now view your groups as you normally would. Easily search for a contact’s name. These services will start globally in the coming weeks.
