Akshay Kumar is very excited about ‘Mission Raniganj’. Apart from the interesting story of the film which revolves around an important rescue mission in Raniganj. The film will be released in theaters on 6 October 2023.

‘Mission Raniganj’ is a film based on a coal mine accident which shocked the country and the world. The film depicts the tireless efforts of the rescue team led by Bahadur Jaswant Singh Gill (played by Akshay Kumar).

Tinu Desai and his team dug a pit which was 30 to 40 feet deep in the ground. The reason behind this was to make the actors realistically experience the pain and suffocation that real miners endured while trapped inside a coal mine.

Talking about this, Tinu Desai said, “Given the subject matter of the film, our intention was to maintain authenticity and relevance in the background and setting. For this we collectively decided to dig a pit under the ground, which was approximately “The depth will be 30 to 40 feet, which is only 1/10th of an actual coal mine.”

He further said, “The most difficult task was to recreate a set that looked like a coal mine of that era. Furthermore, our goal was to create the real feeling of suffocation experienced by the trapped miners during the tragic event.

Parineeti Chopra will be seen with Akshay Kumar in this film. Apart from this, Pawan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rajesh Sharma, Sudhir Pandey, Bachan Pachera, Mukesh Bhatt and Omkar Das Manikpuri will be seen in the movie.

‘Mission Raniganj’ is also Tinu Suresh Desai’s next thriller after Rustom, which earned him massive critical and commercial acclaim. Let us tell you that it is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in the film Oh My God 2. The film was released in theaters on 11 August along with Gadar 2.
