Mohammad Amir will be seen in Legends League

New Delhi (Uttam Hind News): Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir will be seen playing for the Asia Lions in the Indian tournament Legends League Cricket (LLC). The organizers announced this on Monday.
After joining Asia Lions, Amir said, “I am proud to be a part of LLC Masters 2023. Apart from some of my former teammates, I will also be playing alongside some of the legends I have grown up watching play, like Shoaib Akhtar and Abdul Razzaq. I’m pretty sure it’s going to be an exciting contest, and I’m looking forward to it.”
Amir, who plays for the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League, will be the youngest ever player in the Asia Lions team. Known for his ability to swing the ball both ways, Amir has produced match-winning performances for Pakistan on several occasions. He took four wickets for 28 runs in the final of T20 World Cup 2009, playing a key role in Pakistan’s victory.
Apart from Amir, Asia Lions has also included Sohail Tanvir in the team. In addition, the India Maharaja team welcomed turbanators Harbhajan Singh, Murali Vijay and Stuart Binny to the squad, while former England captain Paul Collingwood joined the World Giants.
The LLC Masters will be Murali Vijay’s first competitive tournament since January after announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket earlier this year. Vijay has been a key part of the Indian Test team throughout his career and has also played a key role for the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.
Speaking about his participation in LLC Masters, Vijay said, “I am delighted to be a part of LLC Masters 2023 and am all set to step on the field for India Maharaja. We have a strong team that looks balanced across departments. I am really looking forward to taking the field with my old friends and teammates.”
The first match of Legends League Cricket Masters will be played between India Maharajas and Asia Lions on March 10, 2023.
