Mumbai: Moroccan-origin actress Nora Fatehi has thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his heartfelt condolences and support to Morocco after the devastating earthquake that hit the country. A 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Morocco, causing devastation all around. So far 2000 people have been reported dead due to the earthquake that was felt in many Moroccan cities including Rabat and Casablanca.
In a heartfelt show of solidarity, PM Modi extended his condolences and support to the earthquake-hit country. On X, PM Modi wrote, ‘Deeply saddened by the loss of lives due to the earthquake in Morocco, my thoughts are with the people of Morocco at this sad time. Heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injured get well soon. India is ready to provide all possible assistance to Morocco in this difficult time.
Nora shared a message for the PM on Instagram Stories, writing, “Thank you PM @narendramodi for this huge support! You are one of the first countries to raise awareness and extend a helping hand, Moroccans are very grateful! Jai Hind!’ On the work front, Nora will be seen in the lead role for the first time in a sports-action film titled ‘Krack’ alongside Vidyut Jammwal and Arjun Rampal. He also has films like ‘Matka’, ‘Dancing Dad’ and Kunal Kemmu’s ‘Madgaon Express’ in the pipeline.
