Mumbai (Uttam Hindu News)-Bollywood’s well-known character actor Boman Irani has told that his mother has encouraged him to go to theater and watch movies.
Boman Irani’s presence and powerful words at prestigious venues like Oxford University, British Parliament and the Indian High Commission have not only made India proud but have also served as an inspiration to many. During his visit to Oxford, Boman Irani gave a memorable speech and received praise from Dr Aditi Lahiri for his impact beyond cinema. Reflecting on his life journey, Boman Irani shares notable moments, ranging from his childhood experiences to his diverse roles including working as a photographer under his mother’s encouragement to theatre.
Boman Irani said, I was dyslexic and I stammered a lot and whenever I spoke, everyone laughed. I will be afraid that people will make fun of me. It took me years to understand that you can’t afford to be afraid. One day there was a concert at school and my mother saw me smiling and singing. That’s when he realized that I liked being on stage in front of an audience and he encouraged me, even though my marks weren’t very good. He encouraged me to go to the theatre, to the speech therapist and to go to the cinema every day because my education was through cinema. He saw in my eyes that I loved that world.
