Mumbai. India’s first of its kind multidisciplinary cultural space, Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center was inaugurated in Mumbai on Friday. This cultural center will enable visitors from India and around the world to witness the best of India in the fields of music, theatre, fine arts and crafts. The center will take definite steps to strengthen India’s cultural infrastructure and bring the best of India and the world in the field of art.

Neeta Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center launch event was attended by Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan with son Aryan Khan and daughter Suhana Khan, while Sidharth Malhotra arrived at the event with wife Kiara Advani. Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jones, Shahid Kapoor, Mira Kapoor, Hollywood star Gigi Hadid, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Sara Tendulkar, Superstar Rajinikanth, Sonam Kapoor, Varun Dhawan attended the event .

The launch event featured three shows along with a specially curated art and craft exhibition titled ‘Swadesh’. A musical theater titled ‘The Great Indian Musical: Civilization to Nation’, a costume art exhibition titled ‘India in Fashion’ and a visual art show titled ‘Sangam/Confusion’.

Speaking on the occasion, Nita Ambani said, “Bringing this cultural center to life has been a sacred journey. We aspired to create a space for promoting and organizing cinema and music, dance and drama, literature and folklore, arts and crafts, science and cultural heritage. This is a place where we will showcase the best of India to the world and welcome the best of the world to India.

The center will be highly inclusive with free access for children, students, senior citizens and the disabled and will have a strong focus on community nutrition programmes.

This cultural center is a first-of-its-kind, multidisciplinary space for the arts within the Jio World Center located in the heart of Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex.

The center is home to three performing arts venues: the 2,000-seat Grand Theatre, the technologically advanced 250-seat Studio Theater and the dynamic 125-seat Cube. It also houses the ‘Art House’, a four-storey dedicated visual arts space built to global museum standards.
