Mumbai Police registers FIR against Munawar Faruqui’s fan, used drone illegally in Dongri

After winning Bigg Boss 17, when Munawar Faruqui reached Dongri area of Mumbai, he was welcomed by a crowd of fans. Many pictures and videos of his grand welcome and victory celebration from Dongri area went viral on the internet. However, some of these videos included drone shots, which has now become bad news for Munawar fans. In the viral video, the stand-up comedian was seen standing on the sunroof of his car while raising his trophy.
On Monday, Mumbai’s Dongri police registered a case of violation of rules against a drone operator who was capturing pictures of Munawar Faruqui’s victory in Bigg Boss 17. According to the police, an on-duty constable spotted a man using a drone camera to capture the celebrations.
Shinde and PSI Mulla approached the operator, identified as Arbaaz Yusuf Khan (26), and inquired from him about the proper permissions. Khan admitted that he lacked the necessary authorization following which the police confiscated Khan’s drone camera.
Officials later filed a case against him for violating Mumbai Police Commissioner’s orders regarding the use of drones, stressing the importance of following rules to ensure public safety.
Munawar emerged as the winner of Bigg Boss 17 after surviving inside the BB house for 15 consecutive weeks. Along with the trophy, he also took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a new Hyundai Creta. Munavvar was among the five finalists which included Abhishek Kumar, Mannara Chopra, Arun Mashetti and Ankita Lokhande. The grand finale of Bigg Boss 17 took place on 28 January 2024 and was aired for approximately 7 hours on Colors TV and JioCinema.
