New Delhi Bangladesh Cricket Board has extended the no objection letter of its fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman for Chennai Super Kings by one day. This means that Mustafizur will now be available for the match against Punjab Kings on May 1 instead of returning on April 30.

Shahryar Nafees, deputy manager of Bangladesh cricket operations, said, “We had given Mustafizur permission to play in the IPL till April 30, but Chennai has a match only on May 1. After receiving the request from the team and the Board of Control for Cricket in India, We have extended Mustafizur’s leave by one day.”

Mustafizur has taken 10 wickets in five matches at an average of 18.30, including four wickets in a match for the first time in the IPL. This has been his best performance in IPL after playing for Rajasthan Royals in 2021. Mustafizur was in Dhaka last week due to visa related work for the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Mustafizur was dropped from Bangladesh’s ODI team after taking only two wickets in the last T20 series against Sri Lanka and now he has started taking wickets at the right time. Mustafizur is Bangladesh’s most successful bowler in T20, so it is certain that he will go to the T20 World Cup.
