My action preparation for Tiger 3 was at least two months: Katrina Kaif

The first female spy of the YRF spy universe, Katrina Kaif aka Zoya of the Tiger franchise, is a character Aditya Chopra has shown is a man’s equal at every step. She is a dangerous, intelligent and ruthless spy who can match anyone in action.

Katrina has made Zoya her own and the makers have consistently taken her character a notch higher in each of Tiger’s films. The actress has enjoyed performing incredible stunts and hand-held action sets that no woman has ever done on screen before. In Tiger 3, Katrina will push the boundaries of action even further and reveals that she has prepared for around 60 days before doing the biggest action sequences!

Katrina says, Tiger 3 shows that when it comes to saving her family or country or humanity there is nothing a woman cannot do. A character like Zoya is important and necessary to tell people that girls can be nurturers as well as dangerous protectors. Zoya is one of my favorite roles of my career!

She further says, I love how she can match anyone with her patience and courage. She doesn’t back down from a fight and when it comes to action she can be just as good, if not better, than a man! Zoya’s action style is also unique and she can perform some very complex action sequences with ease, as you can see in the trailer! Zoya faces an army of enemies and fights alone!

Katrina loves the fact that YRF has made Zoya’s character more fierce with every film! She says, I love action as a genre and playing a detective is a dream come true! I knew this was going to be a part of my legacy, so I always give my 200 percent for this franchise. Every Tiger film has taken Zoya’s character up a notch, and she’s fought more, and it’s been bloodier. This is the USP of the character, which I love!

Katrina further says, for Tiger 3, my action preparation was for at least two months. We wanted Zoya to look agile, have more speed and more strength. I had to go through really hard training and it was definitely the toughest training of my career so far, when you see the kind of action that Zoya has done, you will realize that such scenes have never been done before by any woman. Would not have been attempted by.

She further says, I am extremely excited to show the audience these scenes created by some of the best action teams in the world on the big screen.
