New Delhi: In the first innings of the Dharamshala Test, the English team fell apart like a house of cards. After which former English player Nasir Hussain has raised questions on his own team.
Former England captain Nasser Hussain looked quite disappointed after seeing the flop show of the English batsmen once again against India on the opening day of the fifth and final Test of the Test series.
He criticized the batsmen of the visiting team, saying that players cannot hide behind the baseball and they need to focus on their game.
Left arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav forced England to kneel by taking five wickets. Whereas, off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin took four wickets and Jadeja took one wicket, as India bowled out the visiting team for 218 runs on the first day of the fifth and final Test at HPCA.
Batting first, England were in a strong position at 100/1, but due to the strong bowling of Kuldeep (5-72) and Ashwin (4-51), the English team was all out in 57.4 overs.
For England, only Jack Crawley struggled alone by playing a good inning of 79 runs, while the other batsmen fell like a house of cards and lost to the mastery of Kuldeep-Ashwin.
Nasser Hussain told Sky Sports, ‘I think from a batting point of view the England players need to focus on their game and try to improve. Whatever your plan is, whatever your coach or captain says, you have to play intelligently against good bowlers.
Nasser suggested the England players to focus on their weaknesses and try to improve with the bat rather than hiding behind the baseball.
