A Mumbai court has dismissed both the petitions filed against Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui by his “ex” wife Zainab alias Aaliya. According to the actor’s lawyers, Zainab had filed a dowry harassment complaint against Siddiqui falsely claiming to be his wife.
Legal documents of divorce were hidden from the court
The court dismissed both the cases after presenting the divorce papers, said the actor’s lawyers Adnan Sheikh and Drishti Khurana. Both the cases were registered against the 48-year-old actor on the basis of marriage documents and valid divorce documents were hidden from the court.
A case of assault was registered against Zainab
Significantly, Zainab had sought a direction from the court to register an FIR against the actor and his mother at Mumbai’s Versova police station under sections 498A (dowry harassment) and 509 (for providing security) of the Indian Penal Code. . At the same time, last month, the Versova police had registered a case of assault against Zainab on the complaint of actor’s mother Mehrunisa Siddiqui.

Recently, Aaliya had posted a video of the bitter conversation between her and the actor on social media. In this video, the separated couple can be seen arguing. Along with some photos and videos, Alia wrote, ‘I regret giving my 18 years to a person who has no value in my eyes.’

A room where we started our journey together and were living very happily. I believed that he loved me and would keep me happy for a long life. But this man was never a great man. He always used to insult his ex-girlfriend, his ex-wife and now he insults me and also targets his children.
