He said that films should promote social unity and love among people. He said that it is our responsibility to increase it. He said, ‘If a film has the potential to disturb the social harmony of people, then it is very wrong.’ He said- We have to connect this world.
Court order to lift the ban on the film
The film ‘The Kerala Story’, directed by Sudipto Sen, is making a splash in the theatres. After the ban imposed on this film by the West Bengal government, the Supreme Court ordered its removal. However, many theaters are still reluctant to screen the film. In Kerala too, there was a protest like atmosphere regarding this film, because it was released in very few places. Seeing the atmosphere that was created regarding the film, people were also coming out less. Along with the release of the trailer, the film, surrounded by controversies, was banned in West Bengal. After the order of the court, the film is finally being screened on single screen and it is also getting good response from the audience.
