Niyat features a stellar ensemble cast led by Vidya Balan, including Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Amrita Puri, Dipannita Sharma, Nikki Walia, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli and Danesh Razvi. Vidya Balan’s poster shows her standing in a library with a stack of books behind her. The classic whodunnit directed by Anu Menon, who last directed Vidya Balan in 2020 superhit ‘Shakuntala Devi’, is based on the life and times of the woman known as the human computer. Anu Menon’s recent directorial credits also include several episodes of the internationally acclaimed series ‘Killing Eve’. Niyat is written by Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advait Kala and Girvani Dhyani and dialogues are penned by Kausar Munir.
Produced by Vikram Malhotra-led Abundantia Entertainment, also produced by Shakuntala Devi, and co-produced by Prime Video, Neet tells a gripping suspense story of an unlikely detective (Vidya Balan) who comes across a mysterious murder at a billionaire’s party. investigates, where nothing happens.
