This film will always be special to me. To the extraordinary Rajkummar Rao, to Anuj Dhawan, to Mandar Kulkarni and to Aditya, who crafted it so carefully. I lost a lot of money because of an unscrupulous producer partner, but I don’t regret it. The movie is available to stream on ZEE5 Premium.
‘Omerta’ is a biographical crime drama film directed by Mehta and stars Rajkummar Rao as Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh, a British terrorist of Pakistani origin. The film explores the 1994 kidnapping of Westerners in India, for which Omar was arrested, and the 2002 assassination plot of Wall Street Journal journalist Daniel Pearl.
