OMG 2 Review | Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s film gives an important message to the society

OMG 2 doesn’t need to be bound by ‘A’ certificate, this movie is very important for children below 18 years of age. Sex education is still considered taboo in India and the film aptly breaks this shackle by sending the right message. The film is a sophisticated and hard-hitting tale on families and the importance of sex education.

story direction

This is the story of Kanti Sharan Mudgal, a hardworking person and an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. Also a loving father who wants the best for his family and children. Everything changes when Kanti’s troubled teenage son Vivek is caught on video by an anonymous person masturbating in the school toilet. Fearing public outcry and slander, Kanti decides to flee with her family to some unknown place. His son’s suicide attempt due to humiliation and bullying forces Kranti to understand the importance of being a parent and an adult. He prays to Mahadev for the solution of his crisis. In such a scenario, Akshay Kumar makes a banging entry. Then follows how Mahadev’s milk guides Kanti from time to time and how Kanti as a father becomes the hero in the son’s life and brings his life back on track.

Kranti decides to sue the school for the mental harassment caused to her son. He highlights the problem of not being educated, the need for sex education of students and the right to information. The school appoints Kamini Maheshwari (Yami Gautam) as its defense lawyer. Director Amit Rai has made a very important film for the society. Akshay Kumar as the messenger of Lord Shiva helps and guides Kanti. OMG2’s point is why children should be given sex education.

Pankaj Tripathi’s acting is wonderful. Yami Gautam’s strong performance as a lawyer is very impressive. Whenever Akshay Kumar comes in the form of guidance in the film, he makes a place in everyone’s heart. The film also stars Pawan Malhotra as the judge, Govind Namdev as the priest, Arun Govil as the principal and Brijendra Kala as the doctor, all of whom drive the story forward with their stellar performances.

music

The energetic background music enhanced the essence of the film. Mangesh Dhagade’s music is great. Songs related to Lord Shiva are very powerful, especially Har Har Mahadev. In this song, both Akshay Kumar’s look and dance add charm to the film. Apart from this, the emotional track ‘Oonchi Oonchi Wadi’ is also very much liked.

This is a must watch film. The film throws light not only on sex education but also on the environment around children. This film made on the subject of sex education can be shown to children in schools as well.
