The Oscar-winning film Oppenheimer has finally been released in Japan, eight months after its global release. While the world appreciated the film, Japan was until now excluded from global screenings. However, the Christopher Nolan-directed film made its way into theaters in Japan on Friday, People reported. Reportedly, a warning was shown in theaters in Japan stating that the film contained images of nuclear tests that could cause damage caused by bombs.

Cillian Murphy took home the Best Actor trophy, Robert Downey Jr. won Best Supporting Actor and Christopher Nolan won Best Director, among other wins for the blockbuster.

Despite being released theatrically alongside the Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie-starrer Barbie, the film was a major box office success. Oppenheimer was released in theaters in July last year.
