Mumbai | ‘The Whales’ star Brendan Fraser has said his Oscar nomination is “a gift he definitely didn’t see coming.” The 54-year-old star has been nominated for Best Actor at the Academy Awards for his role in ‘The Whale’, while the film won Best Make-up and Hairstyling and his co-star Hong Chow supporting, reports Female First UK. The actress is in the running for the award.
Reflecting on the news, she told People magazine in a statement that she was “absolutely overjoyed and grateful for this recognition and to recognize Hong Chau’s beautiful performance and Adrien Moreot’s incredible make-up.”
She quoted Female First UK as saying: “I wouldn’t have this nomination without (director) Darren Aronofsky, (writer) Samuel D. Hunter and the extraordinary cast and crew who gave me the gift of Charlie.”
Fraser said, “It’s about finding light in a dark place and I’m so lucky to work with an ensemble cast that’s incredible. Hong Chow, who has been known to bring his own personality to every character he plays.” Must be the face of. And Sadie Ink, she’s incredible. .. Who are you? Took me 32 years to get here.
